ABOUT ME

Howdy!

​

My name is Mason Riley Hines and I am a Social Media Recruiting Specialist for Vector Marketing. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2023 with a degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism.

​

Sales and marketing are a passion of mine. I use effective communication skills to market products, coach representatives, and connect with other industry professionals. As a recruiter for Vector, I am entrusted with messaging new candidates for employment.

​

I am also a journalist covering politics, sports, and everything in between. Currently I am a part time staff writer with the Lampasas Dispatch Record. This role has allowed me to write feature stories relating to current issues in the agribusiness, education, and political spheres.

Whether it's a recap of a city council meeting, or a feature story on the effectiveness of standardized testing, I have found joy in the process of sharing news, and the impact journalism plays in the role of our society.

My passion for photography has also risen from taking photos to accompany my news stories. Taking my own photos has presented exciting and unique opportunities for photos, including the opportunity to photograph the 2022 UIL Football State Championship games at AT&T Stadium.

My degree allowed me the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge in agriculture and leadership skills, and I am hopeful to use the diversity of my degree to its fullest extent in the workforce.

As a professional, I am dedicated and an excellent communicator. I work well in a highly-supportive team setting. I feed off the energy of the group, even when working virtually. I am highly motivated and learn and adapt quickly.

I also work hard to intentionally make time for the people in my life. My wife, friends, and family are very important to me. I diligently plan the time I work, the time I give to my people, and the time I take for myself to recharge. In my recharge time, I enjoy attending or watching sporting events as a spectator, eating a good meal, or connecting with friends.
